2006 ASTROS RECAP - Last year our 15U Astros club compiled an overall record of 63-23 while competing in the Boys of Summer, LICM & NJBL leagues. We competed in 8 tournaments across the Northeast from Cape Cod, MA. to Orlando, Florida!  OUR YEAR END STATS, sorted by team leaders, can be viewed if you CLICK HERE. 2006 YEAR END AWARDS AS FOLLOWS; MVP - CAM MARON Cam took his game to the next level, he led in nearly every offensive category while showing his leadership skills from behind the plate, Hicksville Varsity will be lucky to have him this spring! CY YOUNG - JUNIOR FAIR Junior was as intimidating as ever on the rubber as his gaudy numbers attest. His command of 3 pitches make him dangerous against any competition! MOST IMPROVED - ZACH ROOT Zach came to play with the same fire and intensity each & every game and consistently delivered with his big offensive numbers & reliable defense! STRENGTH UP THE MIDDLE - SS Max Tecce & 2B Ryan Rusoff -  The glue & guts of our infield with ultra strong defense, quick hands and strong arms! Both boys are just as dangerous at the dish and can always be counted on to deliver when it counts, in the clutch! BEST NEWCOMER - PJ Lenz & Vinnie Carminati The Huntington boys proved extremely valuable as PJ's big strong bat hammered the ball and solid right arm dominated on the rubber while Vinnie Carminati flourished and showed signs of greatness with his speed, power and gun from SS and OF.
