FABL Playoffs Thursday 7/19 Astros and Pro Tide lock up in a classic pitchers duel as James McKenna (L) allows a single run in the 7th in another fantastic effort in a 1-0 loss. Ryan Rusoff singles twice and Nick Lobello singles as the Astros can muster only 3 hits in a well played ballgame. FABL Playoffs Saturday  7/21 The Astros play the Astros west team to a 4-4 tie in a game where we turn a stunning triple play! Andrew Alesi (ND) throws 5+ allowing 3 runs as the West team rally for a 7th inning run to end the game in a tie. Nick Lobello singles twice and doubles and PJ Lenz (RBI) adds 2 singles. Thursday 6/14 BOS Astros take care of Paveco Storm 10-0 behind the complete game pitching performance of James McKenna as he allows 2 singles and K's 7 in 5 shutout innings. PJ Lenz smashes a 3 run HR leading the offense. Sunday 6/10 BOS Astros sweep LI Royals 6-1 and 9-1. In the opener Zach Badanes (W) throws 5 innings (1 earned) and Andrew Alesi 2 scoreless. Strong pitching carries over in the nightcap as James Wegge (W) and Mike Lyon each throws 3 scoreless as the Astros play flawless behind their arms and the offense is led by PJ Lenz (5 hits) and Thomas Rubinstein (4 hits). Saturday 6/9 FABL Astros drop both ends of their DH to the much improved NY Cardinals in 2 very well played games. In the opener Matt Metz (L) throws 5 solid innings but the Astros drop a 2-1 decision as we are unable to get the key hit or much needed break. In the nightcap the Cardinals rally for 4 runs in the bottom half of the 5th to take a 4-3 lead and hold from there in a frustrating day for the Astros. Thursday 6/7 BOS Astros hold a 2-1 lead behind Jared Mancini until things fall apart late and the LI Select rally for 2 runs in their final at bat to defeat the Astros 3-2. Wednesday 6/6 FABL Astros defeat GP Lions by the score of 12-3, James McKenna picks up the W going 4 strong allowing 2 earned and striking out 8 as Andrew Stella picks up the save allowing 1 hit in 3 scoreless innings.

Tuesday 7/3 BOS Astros defeat the Lions 7-0 behind the solid pitching of James McKenna allowing 1 hit and striking out 6 running his summer record to 3-0. Nick Lobello doubles home 2 runs and Anthony Caruso singles and doubles with an RBI. Tuesday 6/19 BOS Astros defeat the Titans Gold 5-4 as Connor Henson (ND) goes 6 solid innings on the hill allowing 3 earned. PJ Lenz remains hotter than the weather collecting 3 more hits (RBI) and Thomas Rubinstein drives home 3 runs with 2 singles. Monday 6/18 FABL Astros make quick work of the Stingaz in a 5 inning 10-0 run rule whitewash. Logan Allen (W) throws 4 innings and Luke Willenbrock an inning in relief. Nick Lobello doubles home 2 runs as Anthony Caruso adds an RBI with 2 singles.

Thursday 6/28 BOS Astros defeat Select 5-0 behind James McKenna who throws a NO-NO allowing 1 walk and striking out 8, GREAT JOB JAMES AND CONGRATULATIONS!!! Ryan Rusoff singles and doubles with 2 RBI leading the offense.

Sunday 7/8 BOS Astros defeat Paveco 10-3 behind Ryan McCallister who collects 4 hits (2 2B's) with 2 RBI. Tom Scala singles twice and Michael Suttora and Dillon Burke each chip in with 2 run singles in the Astros 6 run 5th to break the game open. Mike Lyon (W) throws 4 innings allowing 1 unearned run. Saturday 7/7 FABL Astros sweep the LI Braves 3-2 and 4-3. Matt Metz (W) goes 5 1/3 allowing 1 run as James Wegge (S) throws 1 2/3 in relief to pick up the save. Warren Kelly doubles home 2 runs in the 4th to put the team ahead for good and PJ Lenz adds an RBI single in the 1st inning. In the nightcap PJ Lenz (W) throws 3 scoreless to close out the LI Braves in relief of James Wegge (4 IP). PJ Lenz adds an RBI triple and single and Warren Kelly adds a single and double while also making an incredible over the shoulder diving catch in LF with the winning runs on base to end the game. Friday 7/6 FABL Astros inexplicably lose to the Queens Stingaz by the score of 10-8 as we hold an 8-4 lead but surrender 6 runs in the bottom half of the 6th inning. Thursday 7/5 BOS Astros defeat the LI Lions 3-2 behind Connor Henson who goes the distance in another fine performance on the rubber. The bats were quiet but the pitching and defense solid in a well played and very well pitched game. Wednesday 7/3 BOS Astros drop a 4-1 decision to the Smithtown Bulls as the Astros cannot muster anything offensively behind Nick Lobello (L) who throws well enough to win allowing 3 earned in his 7 innings of work.
